One of the ways I want to use this blog is share how I personally use the “advice” I push on everyone who reads my blog. The tagline of Savvy Wifey is to make “a beautiful life out of the little we have,” and I don’t think I should be telling anyone to do that when I sit around waste my time on the couch playing spider solitaire.
And I love spider solitaire.
So, especially since it’s the 4th of July, I’m just going to kick back and share a little about my life.
See, I live in Indiana. It’s not California, New York, Colorado, or any of the number of “interesting” states…or countries, to choose from. In fact, it’s considered one of the more boring states. But it’s where I live, so I gotta make the most of it.
I have something special, as all of us do, when I choose to realize it. Like:
Turns into this…
Where there’s a chance for beauty even in the ordinary.
When it’s okay to enjoy a little cotton candy making
And a little sugar lovin’.
While there’s a chance to take a big leap and settle in
And you can cross off a few small wishes on the bucket list
And remember the beautiful places you’ve been.
- When you realize what you once thought was ugly will actually give you something beautiful.
When there are memories you can make with the ones you love
And you can always work on the hobbies that inspire you
Life doesn’t seem so bad.
