This is a link party challenge where we have just five minutes to write. We’re not allowed to worry about grammar or syntax or even if it makes sense. We’re just supposed to write.
This week is “WRITE.” And immediately I’m finding I have writer’s block. I thought this would be easy, because writing is my passion; it’s my dream to write for a living and no longer have to do things like restaurants or random little jobs.
It’s hard to follow your dream when it’s also desired by millions of other people.
Millions dream of quitting their job and writing full time. For a lot of us, that will never happen. Because dreams are never easy.
Wow, I’ve already used two minutes.
So with my last remaining time, I guess I’ll use it to talk about how words are powerful. They change societies, throw people in jail. They change hearts. I dream of using words to change people – even if it’s just me. I’m okay with only influencing myself. Whenever I write something down, it’s impactful to me first and foremost. And that’s when I know I’m not the one who came up with it. Call it…inspiration. And we’ve all got it.
Just in time.
