Rite of passage is throwing a baby shower for someone in your own home.
We got to welcome my nephew into the world with a baby book shower.
It included a brunch, with lots of yummy muffins and quiche, and lots of baby cuddling.
As much as I love games at showers, I wanted to go a more relaxed route and chose to instead give out notecards for people to write encouragement, verses, and advice. We also wrote down questions to ask Isaac’s mommy Margaret before every present she opened. That idea came from a bridal shower I attended.
It was, in a word, lovely.
