If you were to drop in on my day, you may find me hanging out with my daughter Alice and dog Molly Sue.
I spend every day sending out a little love through notes and letters. Never let it be said that snail mail is dead!
I recently realized that if I wanted a full life, and to be intentional with my kids and meet my goals, I can’t have everything. So I deleted Facebook off my phone and spend very limited time on social media. This may not help me grow my blog, but my people are more important.
That being said, ironically, I’m currently in the middle of raising support to come on board with One Mission Society. They need someone to share stories through blogging and social media, and since I’m passionate about words and missions, that’s what I’ll be doing.
I spend every day in the Word, writing, exercising, and cleaning. In 2015 I worked towards becoming very disciplined; I think that’s very important if you want to see results in your life. And I have. My body is healthy, my relationship with Christ growing, my house is welcoming, and I still get to create stories, even being a mother, employee, and supporter of my husband’s ministry.
Tea is probably the best thing ever. That and my mother’s Death by Chocolate cake.
I don’t like watching dramatic TV shows. Give me comedy any day. Life is dramatic enough.
I cannot function on less than 8 hours of sleep. I don’t know how others do it. It’s by the grace of God I’ve survived the sleepless nights of motherhood.
I studied music in college – and loved it, by the way – but I don’t spend a lot of time listening to music. Only when I’m writing or sharing it with my daughter.
I don’t think the Midwest is lame. It’s where I’ve been planted. My life is here, and I’m fine with that.
